About the Twin Cities Dog Wizard

Karen is the proud owner of Twin Cities Dog Wizard, which is a truly customized unique concept of dog training.

Having over 40 years of experience in the professional Pet Industry, Karen has devoted her life to the health, love and well being of animals. Ranging from professional show handling, training, instructing, certified master groomer, Vet assistant, CPR certified; to the owner of Pet Images Country Inn, a unique concept of luxury Pet Boarding, Grooming, Doggy Daycare and The Twin Cities Dog Wizard training program.

Emilee grew up around the Twin Cities area and was raised with multiple yorkies in her household at all times. She has always had a soft spot for dogs so as soon as she was old enough to work she applied to work at Pet Images Country Inn. She worked as a kennel assistant for a year or so and then eventually was able to work in the daycare there. Once old enough to get her own dog she decided to go a little bigger than a yorkie and get an Australian shepherd. As a working breed she learned how to keep up with his craziness and somehow train him to be an obedient pup! She currently only has the one, his name is Remy and he’s 5 years old. Emilee and Remy love going on off leash hikes and trails as much as they can.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Nikki grew up with a deep passion for pets. Taking in all the neighborhood strays and providing them with vet care and exceptional love, she knew a career in the animal industry was in her future! Nikki is the General Manager at Pet Images Country Inn, a professional pet resort that provides superb doggy daycare, grooming, boarding, and now training! For over 8 years she has been providing excellent customer service, phenomenal love and care for the pets and leading an outstanding team in high quality care. Nikki has worked closely with dogs for over 20 years. She learned very valuable handling techniques while working, volunteering and fostering at The Humane Society for over 7 years. Working at the shelter allowed her to excel in reading animal behavior and working with dogs of all temperaments, ages and breeds. “I am very blessed to have a career I love, I get to give affection to different dogs every day. It is very rewarding!”

p>Outside of work you can find Nikki at the local dog park with her rescue mutt “Wally”, or they are snuggled up watching Netflix with their two cats, “Mermie”, and “Baby”.

Born and raised in the twin cities I have had several dogs throughout my childhood, mostly German shepherds. I’ve always had a soft spot for dogs, and have been a part of the training for all of my previous dogs. I have been working with dogs at Pet Images Country Inn for over three years and have loved it. I got my current dog Gus, two years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed working and training with him. I am aiming to further my education in dog training and help other people enjoy calm, well balanced dogs.
