There’s nothing quite like the joy of a new dog. However, as entertaining as pets can be, they require a lot of work. Without proper training, dogs are prone to being disobedient and destructive.
At The Dog Wizard, we know that dog training is more than just teaching your pet certain words. It’s about creating a long-lasting bond in which your dog trusts you and your guidance, even over its own instincts. With our wide range of services, our trainers can address whatever your specific needs are.

The Importance of Training
Dogs are most receptive to learning when they’re new puppies, so ideally training should start in puppyhood. Our experienced trainers at The Dog Wizard address a variety of problems, from hyperactivity to separation anxiety. Without the right training, puppies can develop into aggressive dogs that may not be able to socialize with other dogs or even connect with their owners.
Training isn’t just dependent on the pet; the owner plays a role as well. The Dog Wizard does more than just introduce new skills to your pet. Our dedicated staff shows you how to best motivate your dog and integrate them into the family.
Private Dog Training Classes
Our private training sessions are designed for dogs, both bred and rescue dogs, between the ages of 8 weeks and 6 months. Their main purpose is to use positive reinforcement to help owners develop close relationships with their pets and encourage behavior modification. Training is on-leash, and hours can be adjusted to fit whatever your schedule needs are.
Our private dog training classes include a group class for socialization, as well as five private lessons that can take place in your home or at our facility. You’ll receive a leash and treat pouch. Classes cover a range of topics, such as:
- Basic obedience (sit, come, down, etc.)
- Socialization
- Housebreaking training
- Confidence building
The training program also addresses any dog behavior issues, such as jumping or persistent barking. While working with our team, you’ll not only discover how to properly communicate with your dog but also learn how to maintain their health and keep them safe.
Why The Dog Wizard?
There are many dog obedience training services around, so why should you go with The Dog Wizard?
At The Dog Wizard, we believe training is more than just making sure a dog can follow certain commands. The goal of our training classes is to teach pets to listen to their owners at all times so your dog makes better decisions and forms a close bond with you. It’s one thing to get a dog to run to you when you have a treat in your hand; it’s another thing for a dog that’s gotten off-leash to ignore its instincts to chase a squirrel and return to you.
Those of us at The Dog Wizard know these commands are more than just party tricks; they’re essential to keeping your dog safe. So how does our team make sure your dog not only knows commands but will listen to them in any situation?
Our dog trainers consist of dedicated, genuine dog lovers. They apply a set of core values that help them educate your dog and strengthen your connection with your pet. These values are:
- Teamwork
- Patience
- Acceptance
Our training program is a collaborative process; dog training involves communicating with the dog owner every step of the way so the trainers can understand your pet and your relationship with them. Whatever concerns you have, our dog trainers will do their best to address them. Of course, this requires patience. The Dog Wizard believes in being open-minded; we know every dog is different and will learn at a different pace. Therefore, each lesson is based on the individual dog’s abilities and needs, and dogs are never pushed beyond their attention capacity in our train program.
Because every dog is different, we accept that there’s no universal answer when it comes to training techniques. When our professional dog trainers meet your dog, we’ll design a plan for success that’s unique to you and your pet.
