About The Dog Wizard Scottsdale

Our dog training goes beyond basic commands like Sit, Come, and Down. Our approach focuses on helping your dog make better choices and respond to you instead of their impulses.

We cover all the essential obedience commands you need to communicate effectively with your dog. But more importantly, we teach your dog to stay engaged and follow through with these commands, even in the most distracting environments.

Our goal is to enhance your dog’s understanding of obedience, making it a natural part of their behavior, not just a few tricks they perform when they feel like it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started with a dog training program through The Dog Wizard Scottsdale?

The Dog Wizard Scottsdale offers a free evaluation. We will even come to you to do one! This enables our trainers to meet you and your dog, go over your training goals and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.

What methods do you use in your dog training?

The Dog Wizard believes in a balanced training method.

As a part of our balanced approach, our trainers are well versed in using a variety of training tools. We know that not every dog does well with every tool. We also know that owners are not comfortable with every tool. We will help you decide which tool is best for your dog and which you are most comfortable with. At the end of the day, whatever tool you are comfortable using will be the one you are most consistent with and that’s what’s most important.

When is it too late to train a dog?

It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

How long does it take to train a dog?

Once an evaluation is complete, we will have an understanding of your needs and how close your dog is to meeting those needs. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for training.

How much does it cost to train a dog?

We do not have a one size fits all approach to training. Each dog will have a free evaluation. From that evaluation a customized program designed to fit your dog's specific needs is created. Give us a call and we will help you set one up
