With the aid of a college degree and plethora of experience, Alex has refined her knowledge and skills to better succeed in the dog training industry. Alex continues her passion for understanding animal behavior outside of work by volunteering at a local conservancy. From armadillos, sloths, and dingos to macaws, ravens, and emus, Alex has excelled in utilizing markers and the four quadrants of operant conditioning for training purposes with a range of species. She understands the importance of both physical and mental stimulation to provide canines with the best standard of living.

Outside of devoting the majority of time towards caring for animals, Alex is an advocate for physical health. She maintains a consistent workout routine, including playing in a soccer league twice a week. Weather permitting daysmonths of the year, Alex loves to be outdoors with her Shepard mix at a park or going for a hike. She will bring her beloved four-legged friend whenever possible to strengthen their bond and trust.

She is particularly passionate about building confidence in both dogs and their owners, and helping pet parents navigate challenging behaviors, like the separation anxiety she successfully managed with her own late dog, Ollie. Courtney believes effective training empowers owners to communicate clearly, allowing the whole family to live a happy, stress-free life.
