We offer boarding for our client dogs along with private dog training, and group classes. Board and trains are perfect for folks going on vacation. There are different packages available for each type of dog training.

We use a balanced and open-minded style of dog training lessons and puppy programs based on the learning style of each dog. Through behavior modification, we turn bad behaviors into good ones. Then via homework we teach owners how to act as pack leaders.

Marlayna has been working with me and my young dog Mercury. She is very informative in the why she trains Us , Mercury is my service dog and we are being trained as a team. I travel an hour and 15 minutes each way and her and Jen have been great for both myself and my dog. I look forward to working with them to get Mercury to be the best service dog there is. so glad I found them.

The 2 week board and train was amazing for Cora and Daisy! I am amazed at how calm and peaceful they are! Their entire vibe has changed! Such a transition and it has made my life so much easier and less chaotic. I'm finally able to enjoy my dogs and take them places! A special Thank You to Gabby for the amazing job she did! She's so patient and has so much knowledge!

I absolutely love my time with the Dog Wizard. Jen is a dog whisperer! 😅 The training I chose was hands on and I have learned so much. My dog is so much better because of Jen. I have a Rottie. Our walks are so much more manageable, which was a huge thing for me. I used to get pulled so much that I didn't want to go on walks. She no longer bolts out the door and drag me with her. I can leave food on the floor and command her to "leave it" and she does. I do not know what I would have done without The Dog Wizard. I could not have done this on my own. I tried! Thank you Jen!

They were very professional with our Loki. We are able to take him on walks without him pulling, he is alot calmer now. Can't say enough about the staff at The Dog Wizard Medina, they are all amazing people.

Miss Maple Mae's first day home after a month long board and train! She is doing awesome, staying in place while I cooked lunch. Also she was absolutely perfect when we stopped at Cabela's (which was a zoo due to the Easter Bunny being there for a photo shoot). I can't thank The Dog Wizard Medina team enough for the amazing job they did. She still has a lot of energy but at least now it can be controlled. Thank you so much for a job well done, we can't wait for the first group training day. I know it's in their logo but I still claim magic is involved!! Lol

We recently adopted a dog from the APL who had been there over a year. She had been recovered from a neglectful home where she was found starving and emaciated. She was very fearful around people and dogs, barking and posturing to keep any threats at a safe distance. As a result, no one could get to know her, and she was passed over time and again. We knew we could be patient, so we visited her quite a few times. We discovered in those visits a sweet dog with a kind soul. We eventually adopted her hoping a loving home would help her heal. Unfortunately, we didn't know how to provide her with the training and structure that she needed to flourish. We couldn't take her anywhere with people or animals - no walks or car rides, and certainly no visitors to the house. Everything and everyone was a threat. It was quite isolating and stressful. That's when we found The Dog Wizard. The Dog Wizard employs a positive reinforcement philosophy, something we felt was critical for our rescue. After an informative phone consultation, we enrolled her in their two week program. She spent two full weeks with them in their facility in Medina. We received updates and followed her progress on a private group on Facebook. We got to see photosand videos of her training. The first time we saw a video of our dog going for a leashed walk INSIDE of Home Depot, we were shocked! We saw how she played with other dogs, followed commands and listened. Following the two week stay, Gabby took 90 minutes to train us on how to reinforce the lessons she had learned. For graduates, they also offer meet-ups every other Saturday for graduates to come together for walks in parks and training review, which has been very helpful.
Our dog is thriving since coming home. We are still a work in progress, but the improvements in her are extraordinary. She listens when we give her commands (which we still practice each day) and we are able to take her on walks in our neighborhood. We highly recommend The Dog Wizard to anyone hoping for better outcomes with their dogs!

The Dog Wizard Medina offers a free evaluation. This enables our trainers to talk with you, in depth, learn about your dog, go over your training goals, and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.
The Dog Wizard trainers are well versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as what tools you’re comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you’re comfortable in using will be the one you’re most consistent in using and that’s what’s most important to us.
It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

In order to know how long it will take to train your dog, we will need to do a free consultation. During your consultation, we will get to understand what you are looking to gain from the training as well as evaluate your dog to see what we will need to do to get him where you would like him to be. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for his training.

We do not have a one size fits all approach to training. Each dog owner team that has a free evaluation will have a customized program designed to fit your specific needs. While the cost of training is a wide range depending on a myriad of factors and personalization to your and your dog’s needs, training programs start at $250.
