Logan was the best! He was so patient with me and my dog, Java. I was nervous and slightly embarrassed because I waited until Java was almost 5 to start training. However, Logan made us feel so comfortable. The difference between Java now and a few months ago is crazy! At first, I’d only walk Java in my neighborhood because of his reactivity. I now feel a lot better bringing him to the park where there are many dogs. During my first session with Logan, I was so timid and he told me that Java could sense that. So not only did Logan help with Java’s confidence, he helped with mine! So grateful for Logan and the Dog Wizard!

THE BEST!

We used The Dog Wizard Atlanta about 10 years ago and had such a great experience that we didn’t hesitate to work with them again at the Madison, MS location.

Our lab, Bonnie, is a little over a year old and completed both puppy classes and a hybrid program. The transformation has been incredible. She went from jumping on everything and everyone to happily greeting people with all four paws on the ground. The difference in her behavior has made such a positive impact in our home.

We just finished puppy classes with our other dog, Birdie, and she’ll be starting a hybrid program in about a month. We’re so excited to soon have two well-behaved pups!

You truly are in great hands with any of the trainers — Megan, Kerri, or Logan. Their knowledge and genuine care for the dogs (and owners!) make all the difference. We can’t recommend them enough!

The Dog Wizard Madison, MS is AWSOME!! Everyone of them are so pleasant to work with from evaluation through support class. Lucy loves her trainer, Kerri Roberts. Lucy is a rescue dog and Kerri helped her so much! I recommend The Dog Wizard every chance I get.

We love our trainers, we’ve been with Megan and Kerri since May of 2025 and we love seeing them. By we, I mean our dog, he adores them so much and it’s his highlight of the week so we try our best to make it to the support classes. They have gotten me (someone who is anxious with an anxious overhyped dog) comfortable enough to be able to go to dog events with him. He is a pit bull but he is the sweetest and just needed a little guidance which has been mostly solved with Megan and Kerri!
The amount of care they give to all of our dogs in general, and I mean ours by other owners as well, is incredible. So much attention to photos and videos on social media, random fun things like contests or who can do what the fastest on Facebook.
This has helped our dog and us out so much in our daily routine with their trainings.
I highly recommend this business to anyone with dogs, the experience alone speaks volumes. Whenever we get another dog we will be going right back with the dog wizard and ideally with Megan or Kerri !

I’ve had such an amazing experience with The Dog Wizard! My puppy Indie started with a few Saturdays of puppy school with Megan, and then moved into one-on-one sessions with Kerri — who was absolutely fantastic.

I always knew Indie was in the best hands every time I dropped her off. Kerri not only helped shape her behavior but also taught me how to build a stronger bond and better understand my dog. The difference in Indie’s confidence, manners, and happiness has been incredible— it truly elevated her life (and mine!)

My husband and I rescued a puppy within our neighborhood several months ago. It didn’t take us long to understand that she was highly reactive, more so than we had ever experienced with any of our pets. The Dog Wizard came highly recommended. Once I researched their methods and realized that we could participate in private lessons I was sold! Megan Garner, our trainer, was/is knowledgeable, patient but firm and personable. The training practices were not overwhelming for our puppy, Mika or for us! She has learned commands that support positive behavior in a variety of environments and situations. What we all learned made sense and has helped us to understand Mika’s behavior. We learned strategies to help us respond to Mika’s behavioral issues in ways that would help her make better choices. We are amazed at her progress and ours. We are so appreciative of Megan as well as Kerri Robert’s, who is also a great trainer. She and Megan are a wonderful team. We can’t wait to continue our learning journey with the Dog Wizard team via support classes. We feel fortunate to be a part of this community.

The Dog Wizard Madison offers a free evaluation. This enables our trainers to talk with you, in depth, learn about your dog, go over your training goals, and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.
The Dog Wizard trainers are well versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as what tools you’re comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you’re comfortable in using will be the one you’re most consistent in using and that’s what’s most important to us.
It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

In order to know how long it will take to train your dog, we will need to do a free consultation. During your consultation, we will get to understand what you are looking to gain from the training as well as evaluate your dog to see what we will need to do to get him where you would like him to be. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for his training.

We do not have a one size fits all approach to training. Each dog owner team that has a free evaluation will have a customized program designed to fit your specific needs. While the cost of training is a wide range depending on a myriad of factors and personalization to your and your dog’s needs, training programs start at $250.
