Every dog trainer on the The Dog Wizard Denver team is extensively trained and experienced in balanced training techniques that address a range of behavioral issues to help your dog reach their full potential.

Romario Romain

Owner/ Head Trainer

Romario graduated in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology, double concentrating in Biomedical Sciences and Zoology. He has always owned and trained dogs, but became seriously invested in the art of dog training when a challenging Cane Corso came into his family’s life. While this usually presents a problem for most, working with this challenging dog presented a hidden talent that then blossomed into a passion.

Soon after, he made a huge career change from a laboratory research associate to a full-time dog trainer, where he also developed a love for working dogs. Since then, he has become a certified decoy and plans on trialing his personal dogs. His background in science has made it easy to understand how dogs learn and practically apply the theory to acquire target behaviors.

Romario believes that dogs with the right balance of structure and freedom can live happy, healthy, well-fulfilled lives, which then allows our furry companions to be a greater part of our lives. During his experience as a trainer, Romario has worked with many different breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs, both on a professional and voluntary basis. He has also been a part of different dog sports and enthusiasts’ clubs. He has also had experience with canine enrichment and fitness. His goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence to be great and successful dog owners.

Alexandria Sanchez-Moral

Owner & Operations Manager

Alex has been a dog owner her entire life. Her family pets consisted of many rescue dogs ranging across different sizes and breeds. Her passion for animals impacted both her life and career path by creating the goal to help others understand how we can live with our animals harmoniously.

Alex graduated with a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Zoology. She has volunteered with many different zoo programs, rescues, and local shelters, and assisted in some dog training courses. Her experience and understanding of dog behavior also stems from professional interactions with dogs in an emergency and specialty hospital setting where she previously worked for a couple of years.

Alex has a surplus of knowledge not only in the field of dog behavior, but also nutrition and health as well. Alex strives to provide an excellent customer service experience from start to finish with all clients during their time here at The Dog Wizard Indianapolis. Alex believes that having a strong relationship with clear communication between a pet and its owner is the key to success in creating a well-balanced dog.

3 years ago, I reached out to The Dog Wizard because my boy was showing concerning behaviors. Life changed, and I had to wait. Here we are 3 years later and I was finally able to get in. Ragnar spent a few weeks with Ro and a Taryn (and others, I'm sure), and my wild child can walk on a leash by a 6 year old. He's not trying to break down my fence, and hasn't tried to bolt at every opportunity. The consistency, the follow up, and the patience of their team makes you realize how passionate they are about helping our furchildren become better furadults.

I called The Dog Wizard after my dog ate a computer cord and had to have surgery to remove it. I knew he needed more obedience training and structure.

When I called, I found out that one of the trainers, Riley, has worked with multiple Samoyeds before and is very familiar with the breed. My dog is the type that would rather go without food just to prove a point. I don’t know if that’s the Samoyed personality or me rubbing off on him but I’m choosing to believe it is the former.

The moment Riley came for a consultation I know it would be a great fit! And I was thankfully SO RIGHT. Jones, my pup, stayed with Riley at her home and she would bring him to the company facility for structured play, for distraction free training, and more. Riley also took Jones to public areas for training and she sent pictures and updates each day (expect Sundays as explained to me).

Jones came back and he was SO MUCH BETTER BEHAVED OMG. It was wonderful and I could tell Riley worked with so much intention and passion because the connection between her and my pup was so strong and genuine.

I also love being able to go to support group classes to get extra help and meet other dog parents.

The only thing I wish I would have done was ask for a chance to learn more about the e collar and techniques being used and had more time to learn from the trainer on how to implement these tools so that my pup and I could have gotten off on stronger note when he was brought home to me.

The Dog Wizard was an amazing experience for our 2 year old Aussie shepherds! Riley was their dog trainer and she was so calm and collected with the training and which has made a huge difference in their demeanor. We are excited to implement the training with them now that they are home and looking forward to taking them on social outings in the future.

Romario is such a kind soul and a true dog wizard indeed, his help with our nervous cane corso has been invaluable. Through Romario’s training program & with his continued guidance both my dog and I will be able to work together with much more confidence. I sincerely appreciated the generous effort he made to understand & work with our specific household dynamics. I feel supported moving forward should future issues ever arise & look forward to connecting with other devoted dog parents in his follow up classes.

My experience with this program has been amazing! It is hard to trust that someone will love, care, and understand your dogs on the same level as you. I chose to do 8 private lessons for my two dogs. They’ve shown so much growth and improvement in every session! We have also attended some support classes that take place often. He has taken the time to understand my dogs and their specific needs better than I could have even imagined! Not only does he train my dogs…he trains ME! Giving me the tools and skills I need to train my dogs when he is not there. It has been so great that I have decided to level up my dogs to do the E-Collar training program next! Ro is a great person that really understands dogs. He is very understanding of your time and will work around your schedule. Last but not least I was able to build a friendship with him and his family which has been such a pleasure!

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dog Wizard Denver offers a free evaluation. This enables our trainers to talk with you, in depth, learn about your dog, go over your training goals, and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.
The Dog Wizard trainers are well versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as what tools you’re comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you’re comfortable in using will be the one you’re most consistent in using and that’s what’s most important to us.
It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

In order to know how long it will take to train your dog, we will need to do a free consultation. During your consultation, we will get to understand what you are looking to gain from the training as well as evaluate your dog to see what we will need to do to get him where you would like him to be. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for his training.

We do not have a one size fits all approach to training. Each dog owner team that has a free evaluation will have a customized program designed to fit your specific needs. While the cost of training is a wide range depending on a myriad of factors and personalization to your and your dog’s needs, training programs start at $250.

Additional questions? We’d love to help.
