We love our job and we are passionate about seeing the transformation in both owner and dog when they learn to work together. In addition, while we can teach your dog almost anything, it ultimately comes down to your (and your family’s) relationship with your furry friend. With our private dog training lessons, we not only teach your dog the skills it needs to be obedient and well-behaved, but we teach you, your spouse, your kids, and anyone else how to best use those skills so you can have a long, healthy, and happy relationship with your dog.

Our training is not just about teaching behaviors (Sit, Come, Down), instead, we believe in teaching your dog how to make better choices and how to listen to you instead of their impulses.  Group dog training classes are a great way for you to learn to teach your dog how to best communicate with them. Group Class environments teach them how to be engaged and to follow through with these commands even in the most distracting of environments.

Support Group Class

This is our way of saying….we are here to help you for the long haul!

We are here to support you and our promise to our graduates is lifetime support through our Support Class. Upon graduation, you will begin coming to our weekly group class once your dog has completed their training. These classes are designed to reinforce your dog’s skills in high distraction settings and provide a forum for continued support for our clients.

Class is held in different area locations which are listed weekly in our Events Calendar and we highly encourage people to come as much as they like for the rest of their dog’s life! WE consider our clients part of our Dog Wizard Family and look forward to seeing all of our graduates at Group Class each week!

Therapy Preparation

The therapeutic value of dogs is undisputed in everyday life, which is why lending this energy to brighten the lives of those who are sick, elderly, or troubled in some way can be such a rewarding experience. Therapy dog work is one of the most incredible ways you can share the joy your dog gives you with others. Not every dog is suited for therapy work, but we can help you make this assessment and help you prepare you and your dog for therapy dog certification.

We have a monthly class that will prepare you in every way to become certified as a therapy dog and handler team so that you may go out to visit therapeutic facilities together. We are also lucky enough to be partnered with Paws for People Foundation, an organization that trains and places service dogs throughout the country, for anyone seeking more intense Service Dog training and certification.

Check our calendar and sign up for our next Therapy Dog Prep class so you and your beloved pooch can start spreading the love!

Our socials are run for any of our clients who have been through our programs or for any of our Puppy Preschool graduates that are 6m and older! Our sole purpose for these socials is to improve social skills for dogs that are lacking in social graces ( don’t worry, any dog that is not great with others has a muzzle on, and only one non social dog is in the group at a time). For us to help these dogs they depend on solid Happy go lucky friends to show them the way! Our socials are run with structure in mind but also letting dogs be dogs. We feel it’s so crucial for young dogs to learn the skills to understand that not every dog wants them all in their face. Learning how to have good manners with ALL kinds of temperaments may save your dog from harm in the real world. But mostly it’s a nice controlled safe play group for your pup! We like to take the opportunity to work on human social skills for our pups as well, like no jumping!

Other Fun Programs

We believe that all dogs are designed to be productive and task oriented, or, in other words, they need a “job” in order to feel balanced. By engaging our dogs mentally in enriching and fun things to do we are able to give them an incredibly valuable outlet to channel their energy into being productive. Check our calendar for new enriching classes to enroll your dog in today!

Building Our Dogs Confidence

We welcome you to come play with us!

Your dog’s confidence is a crucial part of their development and helping them navigate life. Most issues we see from dogs are created because of a lack of confidence. There is nothing more that can hold your dog back from having the best life possible then fear. We have designed this class to give some confidence back to your dog.

This class will be unlike any other class you have taken with your dog. There will be zero obedience taught. This class will be more like a party. If you do not want to have a great time then this is not the class for you. Be prepared to be up and moving, being your dog’s best cheerleader!

What We Do

  • Each class will have a designated theme/object.
  • We will play games, do drills, and whatever other fun we can come up with that time.
  • Anyone can enroll (Only if you’re willing to have a good time)
  • Feel free to enroll as many times as you would like. We actually encourage this. The more you do the better your dog will become. This class will always be evolving and changing so the activities will change and create new challenges to you and your dog.
  • Only two people per dog team!
  • Due to the format of this class, dogs with any aggression history must be on muzzle at the discretion of the trainer. NO EXCEPTIONS

What You Need

  • A 6-foot leash
  • Secure, snug, flat buckle collar. (Please no collars with plastic clasps)
  • Treat pouch
  • Various High Value Treats
  • Comfortable shoes and clothes (you will be moving quite a bit)

Is your dog high energy? Does he love to jump, climb, or crawl? Channeling that energy into agility is fun for both you and your dog! Agility is not only a great physical workout for your dog, but it also engages your dog mentally.

Studying and completing obstacles, functioning as part of a working team, and refining their speed and form will stimulate your dog’s mind and give them a sense of accomplishment. Agility will also boost your dog’s confidence, which makes it a great activity for nervous dogs! Speed and accuracy are both key in learning to navigate equipment such as the catwalk, A-frame, teeter-totter, and various jumps.

All breeds are welcome to join in on the fun! We offer beginner and intermediate agility classes every month, so check our calendar for upcoming classes and email or call us to sign up!

All dogs have a keenly refined sense of smell and are designed to use their noses to detect scents. Our Scent Detection class is an excellent place to nurture this natural instinct in your dogs while mentally stimulating them and having fun in the process!

All real life scent detection work is based on the same basic training principles, whether it is ultimately used in bomb detection, firearms detection, narcotics detection, or search and rescue work. While our Scent Class is designed to teach your dog this skill in a light-hearted and fun way (we may teach your dog how to find your lost keys!), all training methods used in this class may be applied to more advanced or specialized scent detection training. If your dog has a toy drive, food drive, or prey drive, they are capable of excelling at this class! Even puppies are welcome!

Come check out our “Suburban Search and Rescue” and see how much fun scent work can be!!
