We love our job and we are passionate about seeing the transformation in both owner and dog when they learn to work together. In addition, while we can teach your dog almost anything, it ultimately comes down to your (and your family’s) relationship with your furry friend. With our private dog training lessons, we not only teach your dog the skills it needs to be obedient and well-behaved, but we teach you, your spouse, your kids, and anyone else how to best use those skills so you can have a long, healthy, and happy relationship with your dog.

Our training is not just about teaching behaviors (Sit, Come, Down), instead, we believe in teaching your dog how to make better choices and how to listen to you instead of their impulses.  Group dog training classes are a great way for you to learn to teach your dog how to best communicate with them. Group Class environments teach them how to be engaged and to follow through with these commands even in the most distracting of environments.

Support Group Class

This is our way of saying….we are here to help you for the long haul!

We are here to support you and our promise to our graduates is lifetime support through our Support Class. Upon graduation, you will begin coming to our weekly group class once your dog has completed their training. These classes are designed to reinforce your dog’s skills in high distraction settings and provide a forum for continued support for our clients.

Class is held in different area locations which are listed weekly in our Events Calendar and we highly encourage people to come as much as they like for the rest of their dog’s life! WE consider our clients part of our Dog Wizard Family and look forward to seeing all of our graduates at Group Class each week!

Other Fun Programs

We believe that all dogs are designed to be productive and task oriented, or, in other words, they need a “job” in order to feel balanced. By engaging our dogs mentally in enriching and fun things to do we are able to give them an incredibly valuable outlet to channel their energy into being productive. Check our calendar for new enriching classes to enroll your dog in today!

Therapy Preparation

If you have been lucky enough to witness the amazing effect a dog can have on a sick or elderly individual, then you will automatically understand the benefit of therapy dogs. If you haven’t experienced it, you must – it is truly incredible to watch a sick little boy or girl’s face light up when a dog enters the room. And we are happy to get to provide this awesome gift to anyone that wants to give back in their community. Not every dog is cut out for therapy, but we can help assess, train, and then certify your dog for therapy work. Even if your dog is not cut out for therapy (or you don’t own a dog), we can certify handlers and pair you with a dog that is certified to local hospitals and nursing homes. We have a “preparatory” program that you can take before the certification day which helps prepare owners and their dogs. Once you pass the certification, you can join other clients of ours and visit local hospitals and nursing homes to lift the spirits.

Baby Preparation

If you are anxiously awaiting a new baby and have the added stress of not knowing how your dog will react to the new family member, then this class is for you. Although it’s never too late, we recommend attending this class in your first or second trimester to allow plenty of time to start practicing the exercises we recommend. Whether this is your first baby or your dog’s first baby, we can help the new arrival be a smooth transition. This class is for advice and recommendations you can start practicing with your dog immediately to prepare for the baby, as well as what to expect once the baby arrives. You do not bring your actual dog to the class. We will demonstrate with our dogs the techniques and exercises to practice with yours. We will provide and demonstrate a clear plan of how to prepare.
